Oskarshamn 3 NPP Power Uprate Project

Scanscot is, on a wide front, engaged in the power uprate project PULS at the Swedish Oskarshamn 3 nuclear power plant. The engagement includes the following parts:

  • Global vibration loads including earthquake, pipe rupture and pool-dynamic events.

  • Structural design calculations of the new reactor pressure vessel internals.

  • Structural verification and re-qualification of the reactor containment, the reactor containment internals, the containment pipe and access penetrations, the reactor and fuel pools and the turbine foundation.

  • Lead engineer for re-qualification of all reactor systems civil structures.

  • Specification of the design requirements for all safety-related buildings including the reactor containment.
