Scanscot Technology is engaged in a wide spectrum of technical challenges in all phases of nuclear power production:

Construction of new plants
Power uprate and requalification of existing plants
Decommissioning and dismantling
Storage of spent fuel and nuclear waste

Scanscot Technology has a long-term experience in linear as well as non-linear analysis of civil and mechanical structures. These skills we apply to analyse and design for example reactor containments, steam generators and reactor pressure vessels. To be able to simulate all possible operational and accidental events we apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) analysis.

Other important assignments for Scanscot Technology are to review design calculations and to carry out comparative structural analysis on safety related structures, systems and components at nuclear power plants.
