Power uprate project

Scanscot is, on a wide front, engaged in the power uprate project PULS at the Swedish Oskarshamn 3 nuclear power plant. The engagement includes the following parts;

Global vibration loads including earthquake, pipe rupture and pool-dynamic events

Structural design calculations of the new reactor pressure vessel internals

Structural verification and re-qualification of the reactor containment, the reactor containment internals, the containment pipe and access penetrations, the reactor and fuel pools and the turbine foundation

Lead engineer for re-qualification of all reactor systems civil structures

Specification of the design requirements for all safety-related buildings including the reactor containment




FEA model including the reactor containment and the reactor pressure vessel and its internals. The model includes water in the pools and in the vessel (Fluid-Structure Interaction, FSI)
